Background:Giant cell arteritis (GCA) is an important diagnostic consideration in elderly patients with vision changes. Superficial temporal artery biopsy (TAB) has long been considered the gold standard diagnostic approach for GCA, but MRI has gained interest as an alternative diagnostic modality.
