A BF weight vector determination is performed on each of M streams. In the first stage, by repeating switching between candidates for a transmission BF weight (transmission beam) in a small base station, a transmission BF weight vector having the best reception quality at user equipment (UE) is selected from among tested transmission BF weight vectors. In the second stage, by repeating switching between candidates for a reception BF weight (reception beam) in the user equipment, a reception BF weight vector having the best reception quality at the user equipment (UE) is selected from among tested reception BF weights.
