An OWC network solution with intercell interference coordination

We describe the first integrated indoor LiFi network solution with inter-cellular interference management. It uses novel LiFi integrated real-time modems with advanced layer 1–3 for adaptive rates up to 42Mbit/s and a flexible number of supported users per lamp. A network layer manages inter-cellular interference optimizing the spatial reuse of the resources. The network capacity is drastically increased compared to existing solutions without interference management. This system eases the LiFi network deployment in a dynamic way, without operators intervention for reconfiguration.
