Process for the separation of butene-2 with a C4 fraction containing butene-2 and butene-1 by selective oligomerization of butene-1

The present invention describes a process for separating 2-butene of a C4 cut containing 2-butene and 1-butene by selective oligomerization of butene-1 predominantly linear oligomers. Additional optional steps can separate isobutene, 1,3-butadiene and trace amounts of acetylene hydrocarbons optionally present in the C4 charge.
