Use of Non radioactive DNA Probes for the Detection of infectious Bacteria

Application of the biotinylated DNA probe systems in the detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and penicillin-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae is presented. The three formats employed are the dot-blot, in-situ, and Southern hybridization.
