Проявления цунами 26 декабря 2004 г. На побережье севера Индонезии (по результатам международной экспедиции)

The results of field survey of tsunami of December 26, 2004, conducted by the International Tsunami Survey Team including Russian scientists, are presented. Boundaries and heights of tsunami inundation near some points of the coasts of North Sumatra and islands, situated near epicentral zone of the earthquake, were measured. Sediments of the happened tsunami were investigated, and the search of past tsunami sediments was performed. It was found that events similar to the tsunami of 2004 occurred in the past on Indonesian coast.
