Discussions on the Design of Beam-to-Column Rigidity Connection on Boiler Steel Structure

2007
In the present boiler steel structure design, most beam-to-column's rigidity connections traditionally employ web-bolted and flange-welded connection details. Is this paper, with the H section steel as the object of study, using nonlinear finite element analytic, method, the beam-to-column's traditional connection and other four different connections are analyzed, the result of analysis is studied and the laws are summed up,thereby a new designing ideas about the connection of beam-to-column rigidity joint are put forward,i.e.,to extend, the width of beam limb at beam end and to add the reinforced bone at column end.In this way,the stress concentration in the weld area can be avoided and the plastic hinges arising from large stress are made for out of linking section, thus the loading capacity of joints is greatly improved.
