New Hardware Components for M-sequence UWB Channel Sounder

This paper describes three RF hardware components designed for the M-sequence UWB channel sounder — the 15-bit M-sequence generator, active tunable bandpass filter and small receiving antenna. All proposed components exploit application-specific integrated circuits fabricated in a cost-effective 0.35 μm SiGe BiCMOS process. The performance of the proposed components is verified by simulations and/or prototype measurements.
