Atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia is the most prevalent tachycardia among supraventricular tachycardias. Diagnosis is usually based on complaints, anamnesis and ECG. In cases of ineffective preventive drutherapy the electrophysiological study is performed with further radiofrequency catheter ablation of slow pathways. The effectiveness of first procedure is approximately 95% but recurrence is also possible. AB block is very rare due to ablation. After ablation anti-arrhythmic drug therapy may be stopped.
