‘Mr. Candidate: Be More Specific and a Bit More Self-Confident!’ – The Role of Gusztáv Rigler in the Hungarian Public Hygiene

With his scientific work, Gusztav Rigler achieved to be regarded the creator of Hungarian public hygiene textbook literature. The professor, who was living at the turn of the 20th century and devoted his life to the establishment and nourishing of Hungarian public hygiene studies, acquired an international reputation in his own age. The aim of this article is to evoke his memory and have his name remembered once again in international circles.
