Secure Color Image Transmission Based on the Impulsive Synchronization of Fractional-Order Chaotic Maps Over a Single Channel

In this paper, we propose a novel single-channel secure transmission scheme based on the impulsive synchronization of fractional-order discrete chaotic systems. A discrete fractional-order impulsive observer has been developed at the receiver level in order to reconstruct the states of a fractional-order Henon map used at the transmitter level. Robust chaos-based encryption and decryption algorithms have been used to cipher an original color image and retrieve it as soon as the synchronization is established between the transmitter and the receiver.
