Production of apolipoprotein from human plasma or serum

1989
PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain an apolipoprotein used for a remedy for curing cardiovascular disorder by suspending a lipoprotein-contg. human plasma or serum fraction in a water-base buffer soln. having a specified pH, incubating the fraction with a lower aliph. alcohol to precipitate impurities, and collecting the soln. phase. CONSTITUTION: This apolipoprotein is obtd. by suspending a lipoprotein-contg. human plasma or serum fraction in a water-base buffer soln, having a pH of 3-5, or 6-9, or 3-9 (when operated in the presence of a chaotropic substance, a surface-active substance, or a water-soluble salt), incubating the fraction with a lower aliph. alcohol to precipitate troublesome impurities, separating a lipoprotein-contg. phase by filtration, centrifuge, or decantation to increase the lipoprotein concn., and, when the product is obtd. as a precipitate, dissolving the precipitate.
