Efeito do exercício resistido sobre as respostas hormonais e citocínicas

Os objetivos foram verificar o efeito agudo do ER sobre as respostas da testosterona total (TT), hormonio do crescimento (GH), cortisol, interleucina (IL)-6, IL-10 e fator de necrose tumoral alpha (TNF-α) e se a variacao interindividual nas respostas destes hormonios e citocinas se associam. Materiais e Metodos:  Nove individuos saudaveis (sete homens e duas mulheres), ativos e treinados em ER foram submetidos a um protocolo composto por 10 exercicios (tres series de oito-10RM) com intervalo de 90-120 segundos entre series e exercicios. TT, GH, cortisol, IL-6, IL-10 e TNF-α foram avaliados em condicao controle e com exercicio nos momentos (M) pre-protocolo, 30 minutos (min) e 240 min pos-protocolo. Resultados: Houve efeito significante (p<0,05) da interacao das condicoes do estudo (exercicio e controle) pelos momentos para IL-6, TNF-α, cortisol e GH (ANOVA). A IL-6, cortisol e GH aumentaram no M30min e retornaram aos niveis basais no M240min somente na condicao exercicio. Para o TNF-α, houve aumento no M240min na condicao controle, enquanto na condicao exercicio nao houve alteracao nos momentos avaliados. Correlacao positiva (r 2 = 0,53) e significante foi observada somente entre as respostas (delta %) do cortisol e IL-6 no M30min. Conclusao: O ER agudo aumenta transitoriamente as concentracoes de IL-6, cortisol e GH e inibe a elevacao matutina de TNF-α. Alem disso, as variacoes interindividuais de IL-6 e cortisol se explicam em partes (53%). ABSTRACT Effect of resistance exercise on the hormonal responses and citocinicas The purpose of this study was (A) to investigate the acute effect of a full body RE protocol on IL-6, IL-10, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, GH, TT and cortisol and (B) if the individual variation these responses (cytokines and hormones) are associated between them. Methods: Nine healthy volunteers (seven men and two women), actives and trained in RE were subjected to a single bout of RE (3 x 8-10 RM, 10 exercises, and rest periods of 90-120s). The IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, GH and TT were assessed at pre (Mpre), 30minutes (M30min) and 240minutes (M240min) post-protocol (exercise condition). The same moments were used to evaluate the no-exercise condition (control). Results: There was a significant effect (p<0.05) of conditions (control and exercise) by moments for the IL-6, TNF-α, cortisol and GH (ANOVA). An increase from pre was noted at M30min for IL-6, cortisol and GH, return to baseline at M240min only in exercise condition. TNF-α increased at M240min in control condition, whereas exercise condition did not. Positive and significant correlation (r 2 = 0.53) was observed between the cortisol and the IL-6 at M30min (%delta). Conclusion: Acute RE provokes a transitory increase in IL-6, cortisol and GH and inhibits the increase in TNF-α. Moreover, individual variation in the IL-6 and cortisol responses are partly explained together (53%).
