A step forward heading for the 21st century

Hokkaido Railway Co. has been contributing for 10 years after its inauguration to activation of the local community and improvement of life culture in the following aspects, cutting down travelling time by train operation at higher speed between cities, fulfilling means of transport in commutable area to core city by changing train composition from passenger coaches to electric coaches, shortening train headway, etc., enhancing assurance of safety and stabilization of transport by systematization, building up winter-resistant railway, etc. We will expedite these measures furthermore, and will develop and expand railway technology heading for the 21st century.
