power plant combined cycle including a recovery system carbon dioxide

2011
An electric combined cycle power plant (2) comprises a compressor outlet (22), and a turbine section (28) operatively connected to the compressor section (20). A combustion chamber (34, 35) has a head end (37, 38) and a combustion chamber outlet (40, 41). The head end (37, 38) is fluidly connected to the compressor outlet (22) and the evacuation of the combustion chamber (40, 41) is fluidly connected to an inlet of the turbine (29 ). A carbon dioxide recovery system (70) is fluidly connected to one of the output of the compressor (22) and the end head (37, 38). It is configured and arranged to extract a first fluid comprising carbon dioxide and a second fluid from a fluid stream substantially free of oxygen transmitted from the at least one of the compressor outlet (22) and head end (37, 38) of the combustion chamber (34, 35).
