Studies on Liquid and Solid Culture Conditions of Hirsutella sinensis Strain RCEF0273,the Anamorph of Cordyceps sinensis

In this paper, Hirsutella sinensis strain RCEF0273 was studied to get more mycelia biomass by changing the liquid and solid culture conditions.The best nitrogen and carbon sources were selected through solid culture. The results showed that of all nitrogen sources milk powder was the best, then soybean powder, yeast powder and bran in turn, and peptone and NH_4NO_3 the last. Glucose and sucrose were the better carbon sources than starch. The effect of CMC concentration, the inoculating amount and the number of beadings in flask on the growth of mycelia was studied in liquid culture. The results revealed that the inoculating amount of 30% was the best. CMC and beadings decreased the mycelia biomass respectively.
