Apparatus for cooling motor

Provided is an apparatus for cooling a motor, which has an increased quantity of cooling the coil end portion of a motor. An apparatus for cooling a motor (5) is provided with: a stator (3), which has a stator core (6) that is fixed to a case (2), and a coil (7) wherein a wire is wound on a winding portion (6a) protruding to the inner circumferential side of the stator core (6); and a rotor (4) disposed on the inner circumferential side of the stator (3). The cooling apparatus is also provided with: a portion to be covered (13) wherein at least a part of the coil (7) is covered with a resin (13a), said coil protruding in the axis line direction from the stator core (6); and a cover portion (12), which covers the portion to be covered (13) by having a predetermined gap between the portion to be covered (13) and the cover portion. The predetermined gap is formed as a flow channel (11), in which an oil that cools the coil (7) flows.
