The present invention relates to a heat exchanger (600) for transferring heat between at least one electrochemical energy storage unit and a coolant. The heat exchanger (600) comprises a thermal conduction module (610) having a base plate and a plurality of projections, which are each connected with an end portion having a main surface of the base plate and spaced apart so that be disposed at least one electrochemical energy storage unit between adjacent ridges can, a first channel plate (630) having an array of separate by webs recesses, and a second channel plate (640) interposed between the thermal conduction module (610) and the first channel plate (630) and a first channel plate (630 has) corresponding array of separated by webs recesses, wherein the second channel plate (640) is rotated relative to the first channel plate (630) so that the recesses of the first channel plate (630) and the webs of the second channel plate (640) opposite to to form a continuous channel for guiding the coolant.
