Interdisziplinare multimodale Schmerztherapie und multimodale Komplexbehandlungen sind evidenzbasierte Behandlungsformen chronischer muskuloskelettaler Schmerzen und Funktionsstorungen und werden zunehmend erfolgreich in orthopadisch-unfallchirurgischen Kliniken eingesetzt. Musculoskeletal pain dominates pain diseases. This means a major challenge for orthopedic and trauma surgeons. The problem of definition and differential diagnosis of back pain alone demands a high competence of the practitioner. Interdisciplinary multimodal pain programs and multimodal complex treatments are evidence-based forms of treatment for chronic musculoskeletal pain and functional disorders they should be performed in all orthopedic trauma surgery clinics with non-operative departments.
