Las versiones diferentes de Tacito y Suetonio son contrastadas con la informacion que aportan los papiros y otras fuentes historicas, corno el ostrakon Louvre 9004. El estudio pone de manifiesto las tensas relaciones entre Tiberio y su hijo adoptivo, asi corno la forma en que Germanico manejo su proyeccion publica en Oriente, su interaccion con los egipcios y el valor dado a su genealogia familiar. EnglishThe paper analyzes the circumstances and purpose of Germanicus trip to Egypt in the winter of the year 19. Tacitus and Suetonius versions of this journey are contrasted with the information provided by the papyri and other historical sources, such as the ostrakon Louvre 9004 The study highlights the tense relations between Tiberius and his adopted son, as well as the way in which Germanicus managed his public projection in the Orient, his interaction with the Egyptians and the significance given to his family genealogy.
