The study on the effect of electric car to energy consumption in Thailand
2016
The simulation of energy consumption for proposed scenario is studied in term of electric demand and primary energy relocated sources according to practical used to personal cars and taxi cars in Bangkok and Metropolitan areas which have over 4.7 and 0.1 million of personal cars and taxi, respectively. In order to simulated energy consumption, the energy efficiency model of both type of cars is developed by using ANFIS that the output is the energy efficiency in term of MJ/km based on survey results of fossil fuel cars and electric cars. The input of models are defined by significant factors from ANOVA test which are engine size, fuel type, age of vehicle, average distance per year, average speed, number of passenger and traffic conditions for personal car. In case of taxi, the average speed is not significance because the most taxis in Bangkok and Metropolitan are 24 hours service. In addition, the developed models are used to simulate multi-scenarios of electric car replacement instead of fossil fuel cars for energy saving determination. The simulation results showed that a personal electric car can reduce gasoline consumption by 2,189 Liter/year and less emissions on 1,547 kgCO2eq/year while a taxi electric car can reduce natural gas consumption by 10,515 Liter/year and less emissions on 3,628 kgCO2eq/year. Moreover, considering the energy saving of electric car replacement by 1,000, 10,000 and 100,000 cars for personal cars are 58,777, 599,970 and 6,242,320 GJ/km, respectively and taxis are 359,774, 3,930,740 and 41,111,950 GJ/km, respectively.
