佛經의 玉冊에 대하여

The present study addresses Okchaeks(玉冊, Jade Books) made by inscribing the Wolin-seokbo(月印釋譜, Shining Moonlight and Buddha"s Genealogy), the Bumoeunjung-gyeong(父母恩重經, Buddhist Scripture on Great Parental Love), and the Yebuldaechamhoe-mun(禮佛大懺悔文, Worship in front of Buddha with Great Penitence) into Okgans(玉簡, Jade Boards). The Okchaek of the Wolin-seokbo was published at the Burilsa Temple(佛日寺) in Gaeseong in 1447, i.e. the 12th year of Zh?ngt?ng(正統) Era, the 29th year of reign under King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty. The Okchaeks of the Bumoeunjung-gyeong and the Yebuldaechamhoemun were published at the Hongwonsa Temple(弘圓寺) in Gaeseong in 962, i.e. the 13th year of reign under King Gwangjong, the 3rd year of the Junpung(峻豊) Era; at the Dosusa Temple(道脩寺) in Anhyeop-county(安峽縣), Gangwon-province(江原道) in 1239, i.e. the 26th year of reign under King Gojong, the 3rd year of the Ji? x?(嘉熙) Era, respectively in the Goryeo Dynasty. The Okchaeks of the Bumoeunjung-gyeong and the Yebuldaechamhoe-mun show that it was very popular in the Goryeo Dynasty to publish Okchaeks by inscribing Buddhist scriptures into Okgans, jade boards and that this tradition made it possible to publish the Okchaek of the Wolin-seokbo in the Joseon Dynasty. The Okchaek of the Wolin-seokbo reveals that the Wolin-seokbo was published in the lifetime of King Sejong, not in 1459, i.e. the 5th year of reign under King Sejo, the 3rd year of the Ti?n shun(天順) Era. Therefore, the Korean Alphabet Hangeul is also considered to have been created and distributed in King Sejong"s lifetime, with the Eonhaebon (諺解本, Korean Annotation) named "Hunmin-jeongeum(訓民正音)" added to the beginning of the Wolin-seokbo.
