Airspace-predominant diseases

2020
Abstract Airspace predominant diseases characterized by accumulation in the alveoli of various substations, such as protein and lipid complexes (alveolar proteinosis, lipoid pneumonia), calcium phosphorus calcinates (alveolar microlithiasis), blood (alveolar hemorrhages). These diseases can have a long chronic course (alveolar proteinosis, alveolar microlithiasis), and be life-threatening, accompanied by acute respiratory failure (diffuse alveolar hemorrhage). The chapter discusses the specific signs of these diseases, the risks factors and possible causes of development, the principles of differential diagnosis and treatment approaches.
