The role of electron microscopy in the mechanism of antibacterial activity of peptide antibiotic against E.coli

2010
The mechanism of antibacterial peptide can be studied by electron microscopy. Great changes have taken place of the bacteria configuration.Interior of the bacteria became the division between cell wall and cell membrance, the electron density turned deeper, bacteria were aging and dead in sixteen hours. Our data suggest that membrane interaction plays a pivotal role in the antibacterilal activity of peptide antibiotic against E. coli.
