Improving Post-High School Outcomes for Transition-Age Students with Disabilities: An Evidence Review

2013
This report uses evidence-based standards developed by the What Works Clearinghouse to review the research literature on programs that help students with disabilities make transitions after high school. Community-based work programs had mixed effects on employment and potentially positive effects on postsecondary education. Functional life skills development programs had potentially positive effects on independent living although the extent of evidence was small.
