Analysis of Key Problems of Design and Construction of Scour Protection of the Piers of West River Bridge

Based on protection engineering against scouring around piers of West River Bridge,key problems such as design of scouring protection,construction organization,quality control,were systematically analyzed.The design scheme that consists of three layers of bagged sands,graded broken stones and block stones was described and optimized.And based on dumped stones test,anti-washing construction was summarized.then the thickness and top elevation of each structural layer after constructing were analyzed compared with the design requirements,it is tested that both the thickness and top elevation are accord with design standard well.
