Experimentelle Untersuchungen an vorgespannten Trägern: Spannbeton-Fertigteiltrager aus selbstverdichtendem Beton

2003
The use of self-compacting concrete (SCC) for prestressed precast concrete members represents a further development in concrete construction, both under technological and aesthetic aspects. The manufacture of precast beams subjected to high loading right on target with the specifications requires, apart from a suitable concrete mix, knowledge of the mechanical strength properties of the hardened concrete as well as their effects on the structural behavior. Although the results of a series of tests on small specimens [1, 2] as well as tests on reinforced concrete beams [3] are already available, experimental results on prestressed beams are lacking. Six tests on prestressed concrete beams made of self-compacting concrete were therefore performed. In addition to flexural strength and shear resistance, investigations particularly concentrated on the bond behavior of prestressing steel strands.
