Multichannel integrated lock-in amplifier for low noise measurements

This paper presents the integrated lock-in amplifier dedicated to low noise applications. The proposed circuit provides efficient processing of small, low-frequency signals in conjunction with effective noise minimization. First, the fundamentals of the Phase Sensitive Detection are briefly recalled. Then, the integrated lock-in amplifier is fully presented and described. Deployed IC architecture bases on the chopper amplifier concept with an additional band-pass filtration stage. In the next section, the obtained simulation results are shown and future plans for fabricated chips measurements are presented. At the end, the short discussion about potential applications of the designed circuit has been placed.
