PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it difficult to recognize displayed contents from directions other than that from the front of a liquid crystal display device and to display a figure or a trade name or the like by utilizing the fact that a fixed pattern is viewed when viewing from the directions other than that from the front. SOLUTION: The terminal device comprises: a liquid crystal layer; an alignment layer orientating the liquid crystal layer; and a driving circuit driving the liquid layer. The alignment layer is divided into a plurality of specified regions, each having a recognizable size. The orientation directions of adjacent regions are different from each other.
