Nursing and effect of propranolol combined with local therapy on hemangioma infancy with ulceration

Objective To explore the effect of propranolol combined with part therapy on hemangioma infancy with ulceration and analyse the effective nursing care methods.Methods A total of 64 hemangioma infancy with ulceration were divided into two group by the time of hospitalized,and 43 cases in traditional therapy group received the traditional therapeutic method that focus on local therapeutics from January 2005 to April 2009,and 21 cases in propranolol therapy group received oral propranolol therapy with a dose of 1.5-2.0 mg per kilogram of body weight per day on the basis of traditional therapeutic method from May 2009 to June 2011.Health education,closely vital sign monitored and effectively nursing intervention for local bleeding,local pain,diarrhea and less heart rate were implemented during the therapeutic process,and then the therapeutic effects of two groups were compared.Results All cases were cured,but the therapeutic time of the propranolol group was significantly less than that of the traditional group [( 21 ± 7.3 ) d vs ( 56 ± 18.9 ) d; t =19.356,P <0.01 )],and the incidence rate of local scar in the propranolol group was also significantly less than that in the traditional group( 14% vs 60% ; x2 =12.14,P < 0.05 ).Conclusions Oral propranolol combined with effective nursing care on the basis of traditional therapeutic method which focus on local therapeutics can accelerate the ulceration heal and decrease the incidence of complications.
