Temperature-dependent magnetic circular dichroism in Mn 2p X-ray absorption spectra of Nd1−xSrxMnO3

Abstract Magnetic circular dichroism in the soft-X-ray absorption spectra in the Mn 2p  →  3d excitation region has been measured for Nd 1−x Sr x MnO 3 ( x = 0.40 , 0.47 , 0.50 ). Small but clear differences in XAS and MCD spectra are found with respect to x compositions. We will discuss the total moment estimated from both XAS–MCD spectra and magnetization measurement.
