THE USE OF DEIXIS IN “MY WORLD 2.0” ALBUMBY JUSTIN BIEBER

The objective of this research is to describe the kinds of deixis are used in the Justin Bieber‟s song lyrics in “My world 2.0” album, the referance meaning of deixis in the Justin Bieber‟s song lyrics in “My world 2.0” album and the dominant types of deixis used in the song lyrics in Justin Bieber in the Album “My World 2.0”. This research used George Yule theory to find the answer and also used descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research is Justin Bieber‟s song lyrics in “My world 2.0” album. The data of this research were five lyrics Justin Bieber‟s song lyrics in “My world 2.0” album. The findings of research show that there are three kinds of deixis in the Album “My World 2.0” by Justin Bieber‟s they are: Person Deixis 754 data (I, You, They, We, She, Me, Us, Her, My, Mine), 3 data Temporal Deixis (Now and Weekend) and Spatial Deixis 34 data (There, Here and That); the reference meanings of deixis found in the song lyrics Album by Justin Bieber‟s have different based on the context of each lyric that contains the deixis such as Person deixis „you‟ refers something special in life. Time Deixis „Now‟ refers to time when the condition is always be fine while you always love me. Spatial deixis „there‟ refers to the place which will make us together forever; the dominat types of dexis in the song entitled My World 2.0” by Justin Bieber is Person Deixis because the singer Justin Bieber always use the word “I” to show his feeling and the situation which make him confortable. He shows his emotion to his songs which his falling in love with the girl and he always hope if he can be with her the girl that he loved forever.
