Powder Materials. Powder for Welding and Spraying.

For the metal surface coating many technologies have been developed such as welding, diffusion, spraying, ion plating etc. PPW (Plasma Powder Welding) method has been developed as one of the potential coating technology by Daido Steel with the advantage in metal powder availability of: - any kinds of metal including non market grades - free alloy design by powder blending according to customers' applications - capability of such hard metal as the one with carbide distribution This paper shows the outline of PPW method and spraying, and makes a presentation of DAPKV powder as an application example.
