Method of Measuring Nematic LC Rotational Viscosity

This paper introduced several methods of measuring rotational viscosity of nematic liquid crystal,and analyzed the characteristic of each.According to the method of transient current,the rotational viscosity of nematic LC mixture has been gotten.Through improving the method of measuring dielectric constant Δe of liquid crystal,rotational viscosity of LC mixture can be measured exactly.The changing line between Δe and rotational viscosity have been measured.A method for calculating the rotational viscosity of LC monomer was supplied.The relations of rotational viscosity and dielectric constant of liquid crystal monomer with different structures were summarized.
