Utilization of structural graphites based on pitch coke as the elements of uranium-graphite reactors

The authors have carried out an analysis of the indices of reactor graphites (specified and nonspecified by GOST), in which traditional petroleum coke was replaced by pitch coke. It has been shown that the graphites GR-PK and GRP-2-KP with a pitch coke-filler, which were produced at the Chelyabinsk electrode plant, conform to the existing specifications and provide the performance of the elements of stacking-sleeves and rigid-contact rings of uranium-graphite reactors.
