Zoning Control and Regulation of Agricultural Production Landscapes Based on Natural Suitability---A Case Study of Jinjing Town of Changsha County in Hunan Province

The study on natural suitability of the agricultural production landscape is the basis of the agricultural landscape planning and the consolidation of rural residential area in new countryside construction. In this paper, with the definition of agricultural landscape and the extraction of agricultural production landscape types, the index system of suitability evaluation was built by considering the theory and methods of farmland. Taking Jinjing Town of Changsha County in Hunan Province as the study area, with the help of comprehensive evaluation model of natural suitability level and GIS technique, the study divided the town into highly suitable, moderate suitable and low suitable levels for the agricultural production landscapes, and food and vegetable production zone, economic landscape zone and restricted zone for agricultural production. Furthermore the comprehensive characteristics of the each zone were concluded and the corresponding regulation and control modes were suggested. The results could provide theoretical support and technical means for the agricultural landscape planning and comprehensive consolidation of agricultural land.
