The measurements of the global solar radiation and solar ultraviolet radiation during 2018 year

2019
In this study, measurements of global solar radiation and ultraviolet (290-385 nm band) at ground level in Osmaniye (Turkey) during the year 2018 have been analyzed and the results are given. The global and UV measurements were conducted by using the Eppley Black and White Pyranometer and a Total Ultraviolet Radiometer, respectively. The annual total global and total UV radiation using daily data were measured to be 130684.65 W/m2 (mean 376.61 W/m2) and to be 4244.86 W/m2 (mean 12.23 W/m2), respectively. Monthly-average hourly solar radiation were obtained to be 313.53 W/m2 for global radiation and to be 10.26 W/m2 for UV radiation. The highest monthly-average hourly global radiation values were also measured in July to be 895.03 W/m2 and to be 33.49 W/m2 (local time: 12-13 hours), whereas the daily minimum global radiation of 114.73 W/m2 and 3.53 W/m2 were recorded in December.
