LA ESTRATEGIA DE DESARROLLO DE LA EUROPA ATLÁNTICA: ESPAÑA EN EL PROYECTO SDEA

espanolEl Proyecto SDEA, en el marco del programa INTERREG III B «Espacio Atlantico», contiene una reflexion sobre el papel del Espacio Atlantico en la organizacion del territorio europeo. La elaboracion del Esquema de Desarrollo del Espacio Atlantico (SDEA), con la implicacion de la mayoria de las regiones de la Comision Arco Atlantico, coordinadas por la Comision de Regiones Perifericas Maritimas (CRPM), se desarrollo entre 2003 y 2005, con la participacion activa de 20 regiones atlanticas. Fue realizado por un equipo de expertos britanicos, franceses, portugueses y espanoles, de diversas universidades y centros de investigacion. Aporta un diagnostico detallado de las potencialidades y debilidades relativas de los territorios atlanticos de Europa y constituye una herramienta para las regiones en sus estrategias de desarrollo territorial. Se analizan en el articulo las aportaciones y conclusiones del estudio en el ambito de las regiones atlanticas espanolas. EnglishThe project SDEA (Schema de Developpement de l�Espace Atlantique �Research to develop a polycentric development perspective for the Atlantic Area) in the frame of the Atlantic Area INTERREG IIIB programme, reflects about the role of the Atlantic area in the planning of the European territory. The Schema of Development of the Atlantic Area involved most of the regions of the Atlantic Arc Commission, coordinated by the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe (CPMR), was developed from 2003 till 2005, with the active participation of 20 Atlantic regions and was carried out by a team of British, French, Portuguese and Spanish experts, from several universities and research centers. It gives a detailed diagnosis of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the European Atlantic territories and is a tool for the strategies of development of the regions. This article analyzes the contributions and conclusions of the research in the field of the Spanish Atlantic regions.
