A lightning arrester leakage current online monitoring system based on a wireless sensor network is disclosed. The system comprises a host, several wireless sensor network base stations (nodes), several wireless leakage current monitoring sensors and several wireless voltage monitoring sensors. The host, the wireless leakage current monitoring sensors and the wireless voltage monitoring sensors are interconnected and cooperatively complete total current detection of the lightning arrester leakage current, motion frequency detection, harmonic wave current calculation, resistive current calculation and issuing of alarm information through a wireless network. The wireless voltage monitoring sensors measure time base information and a voltage harmonic wave parameter of a power grid. The wireless leakage current monitoring sensors measure a leakage current parameter of the lightning arrester and an environment temperature and a humidity of the lightning arrester. The wireless sensor network base stations are taken as backbone nodes of the network and are used to connect the wireless voltage monitoring sensors with the wireless leakage current monitoring sensors and connect the wireless voltage monitoring sensors and the wireless leakage current monitoring sensors with the host. The system possesses the characteristics of low cost, low power, high security, high reliability, real-time online and a good environmental adaptability.
