Methodology research on determination of 5-hydroxymethyl furfural and furfural in Polyglucose and Sodium Chloride Injection by HPLC

Objective To establish an HPLC method for the determination of 5-hydroxyl methyl furfural and furfural in Polyglucose and Sodium Chloride Injection.Methods Shimadzu C18(4.6 mm×150 mm,5 μm) was adopted with mobile phase of 0.05 mol·L-1 potassium dihydrogen phosphate-methanol(92∶ 8) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1.The detection wavelength was 284 nm and the injection volume was 20 μL.Results The stability,repeatability and detection limits of hydroxyl methyl furfural and furfural solution can be determined to meet the limits.Conclusion The method was simple,rapid,accurate and it can be used for determination of hydroxyl methyl furfural and furfural in Polyglucose and Sodium Chloride Injection.
