A Social Anthropologist Looks at Job Survival

As social anthropologists, we are trained to study cultures and to observe and describe the behavior of others. Traditionally, we have worked in other countries or among distinct subcultures here in the United States. However, anthropological and related training also serves well in "mainstream" American society, especially when it comes to recognizing where jobs can be found, then acquiring and keeping them.
