Phlebotomus in New Guinea and nearby islands

1948
Summary Species of Phlebotomus , as yet undescribed, were collected at widely separated Army bases in New Guinea and on islands many miles from the coast of New Guinea. The role played by these sandflies in the transmission of disease was not determined. A rapid method for collecting sandflies that involves use of an insecticide dispenser is described.
