Effect of nonpolar longitudinal optical phonon scattering on the magneto-phonon oscillations in a quasi-one-dimensional electron system

2003
We study magnetoconductivities for a quasi-one-dimensional electron system interacting with nonpolar longitudinal optical phonons in the presence of a z-directional triangular potential well and a y-directional parabolic potential. For the external static magnetic field applied in the z-axis, we find that resonance peak shifts towards low magnetic field side in the quantum limit, which is thought to be due to the presence of the parabolic potential. The magnetoconductivity expressed as a function of the renormalized cyclotron frequency shows an oscillatory behavior.
