On the Interpretation of Images from the Perspective of Epoche——Taking Pounds' Image Poems as Examples

Epoche is a very important methodology in phenomenology,which aims to get new ways of thinking and comprehension through the suspension of judgments and actions. As the essence of poetry,the selection and interpretation of images couldn't be made without the dynamic thinking of poets or interpreters. This paper tends to explore the nature of Epoche and find out its true meaning to the selection and interpretation of images taking Ezra Pound's poems as examples. It also points out that his image poems benefit from Chinese classical poetry.
