The invention discloses a high-speed steel cold-extrusion male die provided with micron-grade tungsten carbide reinforcing layers; the high-speed steel cold-extrusion male die includes a high-speed steel cold-extrusion male die body; the surface of the male die body is provided with a plurality of sunken tubular bodies; the surface of the male die body and the inner surfaces of the tubular bodies are each provided with the micron-grade tungsten carbide reinforcing layer. A preparation method for the high-speed steel cold-extrusion male die comprises the steps: carrying out surface treatment of the male die body; then carrying out laser drilling, pickling, and carrying out ultrasonic cleaning; carburizing the obtained cleaned male die body provided with the sunken tubular bodies in a vacuum carburizing furnace, to obtain a composite body provided with the micron-grade tungsten carbide reinforcing layers; and finally, post-treating the composite body to obtain the high-speed steel cold-extrusion male die provided with the micron-grade tungsten carbide reinforcing layers. The problems that conventional high-speed steel cold-extrusion male dies are easy to permanently deform, rupture and damage are solved, the whole mechanical properties and heat resistance and abrasion resistance properties of the composite material are improved, and the preparation method is simple and is easy to implement.
