The Equation of State of Dense Matter
1995
We briefly review the nuclear physics problems relevant to the description of the dense matter encountered in supernovae and neutron stars. We illustrate these problems by discussing in some detail two examples: the calculation of the equation of state of supernova matter at subnuclear densities and relativistic mean field calculations of neutron star matter at high density.
