Noise reduction mechanism of the sprocket for a chain

1992
(57) Abstract: providing a mechanism for reducing the noise of the sprocket that rotates in Objective chain mesh. [Configuration] Noise reduction mechanism 20 includes a rubber plate which is fixed at a distance from each other in the side surface of the sprocket 21 from the chain 23 meshing with sprocket 21 (elastic member) 22. Rubber plate 22 absorbs the sprocket vibrations that occur due to engagement of the chain 23 and sprocket 21 to reduce noise. Since the chain 23 meshing with the sprocket 21 does not contact the rubber plate 22, there is no such thing as damage to the rubber plate 22.
