Didactics: what does it mean today? Resumo Neste texto a autora expoe o seu conceito de didatica como disciplina que, focalizada no ensino, na aprendizagem e na formacao, se desdobra em quatro dimensoes que, entre si, se articulam: profissional, curricular, investigativa, politica. Traca o caminho evolutivo sofrido pela disciplina na Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal, onde lecionou e refere os grandes desafios colocados a introducao da didatica no ensino universitario. Ao caracterizar a dimensao curricular da didatica torna evidente o papel fundamental da disciplina na formacao de professores num paradigma reflexivo, centrado na acao dos professores nas escolas. Ao relacionar esta dimensao com as restantes, enfatiza a complexidade da area e a importância das relacoes interdimensionais. Refere tambem a ligacao da didatica com outras areas do saber. Palavras-chave: Didatica; Articulacao; Atualidade. Abstract In the present text the author explains how she views didactics as a discipline. Its focus lies on teaching, learning, education. It has four dimensions: professional, curricular, research and political. She traces the evolution of the discipline at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, where she was a professor and mentions the great challenges motivated by the introduction of the discipline in the university context. The way she highlights the characteristics of the discipline emphasizes its key role in teacher education and argues for a reflexive, praxis-oriented approach. The relation of curricular didactics with the other three dimensions shows the complexity of the field and the relevance of interdimensionality.
