We conducted analysis of risk factors, reperfusion approaches and outcomes in 120 women and 230 men admitted to Irkutsk Regional Clinical Hospital with STEMI from January 2011 to December 2012. In-hospital mortality was significantly higher among women then men (35% vs. 13,3%; p < 0,05).Women were older (70,32 ±10,89 years vs 59,35±12,6 years; р<0,05), had a higher prevalence of diabetes mellitus (30%vs 10,5%; p<0,05), prior myocardial infarction (36,1% vs 22,9%, p<0,05), and Killip class III, IV (35% vs 16,2%, p<0,05) thanmen. Prehospital thrombolysis and percutaneous coronary interventions were performed less often in women then men(7,5% vs 22,4%; p<0,05 and 55,8% vs 80,5% ;p<0,05).
