Target dependence for the quadrupole shape parameter of electrons captured to the continuum in 30-keV proton collisions with He, Ne, and Ar

The electron capture to continuum states of the projectile cusp electron distributions are measured in the collisions of 30-keV H{sup +} ions with He, Ne, and Ar, and are analyzed by Legendre polynomials. The value of {vert bar}{ital B}{sub 2}{sup 0}/{ital B}{sub 0}{sup 0}{vert bar} shows a dependence on the target.
